Dr. Nguyen Anh PhongDirector - The Information Center for Agriculture and Rural Development (AGROINFO) - Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development (IPSARD)

Dr. Phong has an outstanding academic background with Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, India; Master degree of Rural Development Management, Khon Kean University, Thailand. He is a member of the network of Vietnam’s Public Policy Research Institutes and the Asian Society of Agricultural Economics. With about 25-year experience in agricultural research, he has been taking a leadership as the project manager or team leader in various projects and researches funded by Vietnamese government and international organizations, such as WB, UNDP, FAO, ADB, AFD, IFAD, AusAID, ACIAR, IFFRI etc. He has extensive experiences on research in agriculture and rural development policies in Vietnam and in the Greater Mekong Subregion. 

He is currently leading some key activities such as: monthly market analysis report to MARD leaders on key agricultural exportation markets of Vietnam (i.e. USA, EU, China, Korea and ASEAN) (2022); Strategy of Science and Technology development in agriculture sector toward 2030 and vision to 2050 (2022); Strategy on Digitalization on agriculture and rural development (2021); Review and analysis the impact of Covid-19 pandemic to Vietnam's agricultural exports to China market (2021); Review and analysis the impact of Covid-19 pandemic to Vietnam's agricultural – a report for MARD leader answer questions of National Assembly in June 2020 NA meeting; Technology Assessment of Viet Nam’s Food Processing Industry (2021); Study current situation and propose solution and policy recommendation to promote high-tech application in agriculture production in Vietnam (2020)...
