Vietnam is currently experiencing strong growth in the construction sector. How can one stand out in a rapidly expanding field while combining ecological transition and sustainable development? With the country aiming to achieve its Net Zero emissions target by 2050, the construction sector plays a pivotal role in this mission.

French experts and key players in the construction industry in Vietnam invite you to a major seminar on April 3, 2025, at the Mai House Saigon Hotel, to strengthen cooperation between Vietnam and France, in support of Vietnamese construction projects!

BUILD TO LAST 2024

Summary of "Build to Last 2024"

On April 11, 2024, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam successfully organized the "Build to Last" 2024 conference.

In Vietnam, a proactive approach has been taken to implement numerous strategies, with a particular focus on refining mechanisms and policies to advance the Net Zero commitment. This effort has not only created new opportunities for businesses and investors but also highlighted challenges in the realm of sustainable building construction.

Recognizing the importance of sustainable development, particularly in the construction sector—where the use of eco-friendly materials, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to improve project longevity, and promoting the recycling of construction waste are crucial—the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam, in collaboration with the Construction Committee led by Mr. Benjamin DESPLANQUE, brought together more than 400 distinguished guests. This gathering included investors, construction entrepreneurs, consultants, suppliers, and representatives from various sectors, all united in their mission to devise a pragmatic plan to promote green development trends.

We were honored to welcome at the opening ceremony:

  • Mr. Thibaut Giroux, President of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam,
  • Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Vice President of VDAS Design Association HCMC Vietnam,
  • Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Vice President of the Vietnam Society of Construction Law.

The conference addressed key issues, such as:

  • Pollution and waste stemming from construction activities,
  • New technologies applied to material enhancement,
  • Financing investments in green buildings,
  • Investment models for financial support,
  • Future directions for sustainable development.

As part of this event, 15 companies seized the opportunity to showcase their stands, facilitating the exhibition and promotion of their products and services. This platform enabled them to connect with a broad range of potential business partners and key players in Vietnam's construction industry.

Thanks to these enriching exchanges and exhibitions, participants gained new insights, established strategic partnerships, and developed transformative ideas. As Vietnam progresses toward a greener future, the collective efforts demonstrated at this conference reflect a shared commitment to building resilient and environmentally friendly infrastructure.
