| CONTEXT

Since the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) entered into force on August 1, 2020, Vietnam's bilateral trade turnover has grown impressively, despite the severe impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the logistics and supply chain crisis, and geopolitical fluctuations.

The agreement came into force more than 2 years ago, giving a strong boost to Vietnam's exports to the European common market. Vietnamese and European companies have benefited considerably from the FTA in the past 2 years and this trend is expected to continue in the coming years.

Since the beginning of 2022, we have seen an almost complete recovery of all economic activities in the European Union, although some factories are still operating at a slower pace. The disappearance of restrictive measures in the EU and Vietnam gives us reason to be optimistic about developments in bilateral relations between the EU, and France in particular, and Vietnam.

Two years after the entry into force of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, what are the challenges and opportunities for French companies?

In order to answer this question, the CCIFV is organizing a round-table discussion followed by an exchange cocktail on Wednesday, February 15 at 5:30 pm.
