Trainee (Business Development) - HCMC - STG 015/2018

1. EVBN Project Overview

The EU-Vietnam Business Network (EVBN) is a project co-funded by the EU, to increase exports and investments of the European Union to Vietnam, in particular by Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), as well as strengthening the EU business sector in Vietnam.

2. Main Tasks

The trainee will support the EVBN Business Development and Services team, mainly in delivering tailored services to European companies that are willing to approach and invest in the Vietnamese market.

3. Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Filing, archiving and maintaining EVBN service/contact records to make sure everything is updated, accurate and well-organised
  • Create and update internal and external data collection
  • Manage electronic databases, generate database reports when needed
  • Assist in compiling reports on project activities
  • Assist the Business Development and Services team in conducting business and market research activities
  • Assist in the organisation of the EuroSphere event that will take place in May 2019 (www.eurosphere.com.vn)
  • Provide general assistance as required

4. Key Requirements

  • Open to any European or Vietnamese citizen
  • A strong interest in the Vietnamese market and business sector, a previous experience would be an asset
  • Excellent English skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work co-operatively and effectively in a team environment Respect for confidentiality and privacy of client information and files
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly, and adhere to routine tasks until completed to required standard
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Friendly, honest and reliable
  • Patient, well – organised with a sense of humour

5. Salary: USD 300 gross per month

6. Starting Date: As soon as possible

7. Duration: 6 months
