We are privileged to offer you a new series of conferences in partnership with the researchers of the Institute of Asian Research (IrAsia).
Pierre Morère, a doctoral student at IRASIA-LPED whose field of expertise is the forest of Vietnam and its components, presents "The adventure of specialty coffee in Vietnam".
Come and discover the history of the great cash crops (rice, rubber, tea and specialty coffee) from Indochina to contemporary Vietnam and more precisely the exceptional coffee "Coffea Bourbon Pointu Lorina" of French origin, imported by Dr Alexandre Yersin.
What you will learn:

- Biodiversity issues in the framework of the Indo-Burmese hotspot
- The history of rubber and coffee cultivation and marketing for three generations in the Morère family
Objective of the presentation:
Presentation, exchange and tasting (on the spot or to take away), on the theme of the ancient and recent trade of raw materials whose cultivation initiated by France and enhanced by Vietnam has made it possible to access the best world ranks of this part of the world called the Indochinese peninsula.
