ONLINE: Digital transformation in the healthcare sector

Vietnam is a country of almost 98 million people, 55% of whom are in the labour force. The country has undergone an amazing development from 1986 to date, emerging from the list of the poorest to become one of the fastest growing countries in the world. Hit by the Covid-19 crisis, despite a rare growth of 2.9% in 20120, its GPD in 2021 only recorded a modest increase of 2.58% against an estimate of over 6%.

However, the crisis is having the effect of accelerating the digital transformation in Vietnam involving all aspects including the health field. Given the importance of this process to improve this system, a collateral pillar to support a fast-growing population and the revival of a sustainable economy, Vietnam has laid the foundation for an intelligent health ecosystem that include disease prevention, treatment, and health management among others.

This round table will provide an opportunity to discuss the current economic situation in Vietnam, the review of the health sector and the digital transformation of this sector, and most importantly, the opportunities that this transformation path holds for French experts in the field.
