[THROWBACK] SIAL Shanghai 2023
On the morning of May 18th, 2023, the Vietnam pavilion was inaugurated at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. This event was part of Asia’s largest food & beverage show, SIAL Shanghai. Present at the opening ceremony were Mr. Nguyen The Tung – Consul general of Vietnam in Shanghai, Mr. Adam Koulaksezian – Executive director of the CCI France-Vietnam, Mr. Nicolas Trentesaux – General Director of SIAL Network, and representatives of Vietnamese companies exhibiting at the show.
During his speech at the event, Consul General Nguyen The Tung emphasized the strong potential for economic cooperation, especially in the agri-food sector, between Vietnam and China, encouraging Vietnamese businesses to strengthen promotional activities and exports to this promising market.
The Vietnamese delegation, chaired by the CCI France-Vietnam, came to SIAL Shanghai this year in large numbers, with 23 companies from various fields: fruit et vegetables, agricultural products processing, confectionery, beverage, etc. With a total space of 162 sqm and located in a privileged central area in the international pavilion hall, the Vietnam pavilion was quickly recognized and easily attracted the interest of visitors towards the brands and products presented.
Returning after a three-year absence due to Covid-19, SIAL Shanghai 2023 gathers about 4,500 exhibitors in 180,000 sqm total space and welcomes 150,000 trade visitors. The event takes place from May 18th to 20th in Shanghai.
