Bureau Veritas opens new wireless test lab in Northern Vietnam

Bureau Veritas’s newest wireless test laboratory was inaugurated on Thursday 6th April, in Hanoi.

Ambassador Nicolas Warnery, CCIFV board members Philippe Perruchot, Christophe Cougnaud, as well as industry leaders and government representatives were present to the opening ceremony followed by a tour of one of the most advanced and comprehensive wireless laboratories in all Southeast Asia.

The increase in foreign investment in Vietnam's electronics industry is having a positive impact on the country's exports. Already the second largest exporter of wireless devices, Vietnam anticipates many of the world's leading brands expanding their manufacturing and research and development operations in the north of the country, creating a thriving new tech hub.

Therefore, Bureau Veritas' latest wireless lab is ideally located to support the growing number of innovative manufacturers with their global market access plans. The lab provides global brands with a streamlined, accessible, and convenient solution to their testing and certification demands in Southeast Asia. As Bureau Veritas' second technology lab in the country and fifth in Southeast Asia, it leverages the Group’s decades-long experience of wireless technology, client relationships and technical governance.

Mr. Nicolas Ribes, General Manager of Bureau Veritas CPS Technology in Southeast Asia commented, “Our latest lab features the necessary equipment and capabilities to support the growing needs of technology providers and manufacturers, brands in the wireless world. We have the latest chambers providing a wide range of EMC and RF testing facilitating access to global markets. We also provide access to a range of advisory services including international approvals management. I look forward to continuing the partnership with our clients and maintaining our role as a key growth enabler in the evolution of the wireless world in Southeast Asia."
