[THROWBACK] HN: Visit to Hutchinson Vietnam – Industrial Excellence and Sustainable Innovation
On april 24, our delegation had the privilege of visiting Hutchinson Vietnam, a subsidiary of the Total Energies group and a global leader in high-performance multi-material solutions. Located in Hung Yen Province, the site welcomed CCIFV members for an engaging and insightful visit.
Mr. Hoan Vu BUI, General Manager of Hutchinson Vietnam, shared an overview of the group’s rich history, global presence, and strong commitment to innovation, industrial excellence, and sustainable development. Founded in 1853, Hutchinson operates in 25 countries with over 40,000 employees and a 2024 turnover of €5 billion. Hutchinson Vietnam produces fuel hoses, air ducts, and technical rubber and plastic components for major automotive brands such as Hyundai, Kia, and UZ Auto Motors. Since 2006, the Hung Yen site has played a key role in the Asian automotive supply chain, serving markets like South Korea, India, Thailand, and Mexico.
After the presentation, attendees toured the factory's production lines, gaining insight into Hutchinson’s advanced capabilities in polymer transformation, extrusion, molding, and assembly, technologies that boost the performance of modern vehicles.
A standout moment of the visit was Hutchinson’s commitment to sustainability. The site highlighted its resolutions® and revea® product lines, made from recycled or bio-based materials to minimize environmental impact.
The CCIFV extends its sincere thanks to Mr. Hoan Vu BUI and the entire Hutchinson Vietnam team for their hospitality and the high quality of the exchanges. We also thank all participants for their enthusiastic involvement.
