Round table discussion on the commercial, legal and fiscal aspects of investment in Vietnam's manufacturing industry.
The event is a round table organized by the students following the Master's degree in French-Asian business law of the University of Paris Panthéon Assas and the University of Economics and Law of Ho Chi Minh.
The students would like to provide legal and commercial assistance to French investors who are planning to set up in Vietnam.
The topics covered will include:
- Commercial aspects: Growth of foreign investment in Vietnam, advantages of investing in the Vietnamese manufacturing industry (strategic geographical location, labor forces and materials at low costs, China Plus One, etc.)
- Legal aspects: Admission of an investment project in Vietnam with a focus on the manufacturing sector
- Tax aspects: socialist market economy (Doi Moi), taxation in Vietnam compared to other hubs in Asia (HK and Singapore), taxation of foreign investments, tax incentives, BEPS.
- Intellectual property issues: trademark protection in Vietnam, counterfeits, etc
The event aims to promote the Master's degree to future students but also legal professionals.
